How can I restore Windows Vista without CD?

How can I restore Windows Vista without CD Now do not tell me to get Windows 7 When I deleted the Ubuntu partitions (“uninstalled”), I had to reboot my PC. Then it kept saying “Floppy Drive 0 Read failure”. Then it said “GRUB error”. And now Windows will not boot. I do this “test” function on my Linux CD. I lost the recovery CD and do not know what to do. Any help would be appreciated! Best answer:

If you have problems starting Windows Vista, then your first step is to use the automated repair tool called Startup Repair. Startup Repair is a diagnostic tool that can be accessed through the Windows Recovery Environment. To start the Windows Recovery Environment, you must start your computer from the Windows Vista DVD that you bought or that came with your computer. To start this process, insert the Vista DVD into the DVD drive and turn on the computer. Your computer will boot and you should see your BIOS listing your hardware and other information. Once this information is removed, your computer will see that a bootable DVD is inserted and present a prompt similar to Figure 1 below.

    You need the recovery disk. What happened was when you installed Ubuntu, it added its own bootloader (grub) so you could boot into both Linux and Winodws. In doing so, it had to erase the Windows bootloader. You deleted the Ubuntu partition that had the GRUB config file, but you didn’t put the Windows bootloader back in.
